We’ve hit a significant milestone this quarter, successfully launching our innovative software solution, RapidRide, to empower other startups. Our team’s dedicated efforts in assembly have also resulted in the completion of this year’s demo vehicles. Now, we’re taking a crucial step forward: customer demonstrations. These demos are key as we work to secure purchase agreements for the serial production. You’re seeing the pieces come together!

Customer demonstrations underway with positive initial feedback

“The working environment is completely changed as it becomes quieter, you can talk to the passenger.”

We’ve recently kicked off customer demonstrations and testing of our vehicles in Norrland. Despite the challenging snowy conditions this year, the initial feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Customers are seeing that we’re clearly positioning ourselves as a robust work vehicle that delivers the power needed to tow heavy loads uphill, while maintaining effortless handling. They’re also noting that our technical solution makes our snowmobile the quietest on the market by far. We’ll be continuing our testing and demonstration efforts further north in Norrbotten for the rest of the season, where snow is expected to persist for at least another month. We’re eager to get this direct feedback from future users!

Assembly process running smoothly, focus shifts to sourcing and cost

Our vehicle assembly, conducted in partnership with Business Solutions in Småland, has been working hard throughout Q1 to assemble this year’s demonstration vehicles. The process has allowed for detailed time and process order measurements during assembly, confirming the efficiency and control of our mounting procedures. With assembly running smoothly, we’re now shifting our focus to optimizing sourcing strategies and ensuring stringent cost control measures. We’re committed to building a sustainable and efficient production process.

We launched the RapidRide initiative – our software platform empowering fellow startups

In collaboration with our partners Stilride and Swedspot Knowit, we’ve launched RapidRide – our fully operational EV software – to support other early-stage EV companies. We’re offering startups free access to the platform for a limited time, along with 40 hours of dedicated startup support from Swedspot Knowit and the loan of a Vehicle Control Unit from Actia. The response has been fantastic, with 13 applications from diverse ventures, including boats, motorcycles, and small cars. These types of vehicles amount to over 80 million vehicles worldwide. Investors have already approached us to evaluate the potential of RapidRide and a future carve out. We are currently evaluating these applications to identify promising collaborations. It’s exciting to see RapidRide in action, helping to shape the future of EV development.

German Design Award – GOLD recognition

We were honored to receive the prestigious German Design Award in Gold at a ceremony in Frankfurt. Vidde’s Head of Design, Kristine Lium, and SVP Pininfarina, Xavier Baudriller, were there to celebrate this significant achievement. This award is a testament to the hard work and vision of our design team.

New web platform launched

We’ve relaunched our website! This is a big step as we transition to becoming a product-oriented and order-driven company. We’ll be continuously updating this new web foundation with the latest media and relevant information, let us know what you think!

Going forward

Looking ahead to Q2, our primary focus is on working closely with our partners and customers to secure purchase agreements for the upcoming winter season. At the same time, we’ll be pushing forward with our industrialization process, which is critical for achieving our initial production of vehicles for the coming winter. We’re building momentum towards that goal.

Thank you for your continued support and belief in Vidde. We’re excited to share the next milestones with you in the quarters to come.

Sincerely,

Christian Lystrup
CEO & Co-Founder
